Famous Americans Exit Project - Grade 5

The Annual Famous Americans Project is an opportunity for students to do an intensive study of a Famous American using a variety of resources, and then to create several products to demonstrate their learning.  These projects include:

  1. A written research report with bibliography including the events of a person's life, their impact on a particular field, the significance of their individual contribution, and an analysis of how he/she affected history.
  2. A poster, timeline, or visual aid about their person.
  3. A business card to be presented at an evening presentation.
  4. A short Powerpoint presentation with at least one slide that will be incorporated into a large group presentation.
  5. Contributing to this wiki, which reflects the research that students did about their Famous American.

The pages below include specific descriptions of the project, resource links, as well as a place for students to post specific information about their particular subject of study.
